We've had one for 3 years now and love it. It's great for keeping coffee fresh. However, the plunger was (for lack of a better word) so difficult to pull out on the new one that I feared the handle would snap, as other reviewers have done. So I put the old flask in the new glass jar and the new flask in the old one and both worked fine, that is, until I cleaned the seal on the old flask. Then it became difficult to remove the new container as well. I found that there was a thin film of coffee bean oil on the old piston seal and on the old reservoir which made it easy to remove the piston without sacrificing the seal. I smeared some olive oil to form a very thin film - it didn't take long - on the opening of the new container and that solved the problem.
