The Moto One Ace is already a BIG phone. In this case, it becomes SIGNIFICANTLY larger in all dimensions. For me it's too big to carry around or even enjoy the phone in my hand. If I were a wide receiver with huge hands, maybe I would feel different. I bought a TPU case to use without a holster and found it fit MUCH better in my hand and pocket. I hate not having a holster, but I'll learn to live with it. The shell protects really well. I managed to drop my phone on concrete 2 times with no problem. The reason for both drops is that it's a bit difficult to holster the phone (the whole reason I want that). The holster, which makes this gigantic phone even more gigantic, is not perfect at all. I'm used to putting my phone in and out of a case with one hand. You can reach it with one hand, but that's dangerous for possible phone drops. My big problem is getting the phone into the holster. It is very important that you click the latches on both sides. If your clothes get in the way, you may think they are locked when they aren't. And then the phone falls to the ground. The combination of case and phone is also so large that it's really impractical to carry it on your belt in the car. And forget to clip it to your side and not next to your belt buckle if you plan to walk around with it, since its bulky size makes it difficult to protect your hands from being hit.
