Review on SIORIS My First Essener - 2-in-1 Toner & Essence (3.38 fl.oz.), featuring 3 Types of Hyaluronic Acids, Rose Water, Green Tea and Mugwort Extracts, Cosmos Certified, with Only 14 Ingredients by Janelle Love

This is an essence/toner combination (aka Essener) that contains green tea and mugwort to soothe sensitive skin. While I wouldn't call my skin particularly sensitive, the product also contains glycerin and hyaluronic acid that help moisturize and hydrate dry skin. Also, I can't resist trying new essences or tonics. When I first started using it a few weeks ago, the consistency was slightly viscous and gel-like. It has a very mild astringent/herbal odor mainly due to green tea. Although it absorbs well and doesn't leave a sticky feeling on the skin, I still felt an uncomfortable feeling of tightness and a tight shine that looks like I need a good exfoliation. But I certainly won't use it during the day. It worked well as a night treatment under a rich moisturizer. At best, ambiguous results. It's certainly unlikely to replace my current favorite essence, Son Reve. But the strangest thing happened about three weeks later. The liquid began to thicken so much in the vial that it became almost impossible to pour out through a small hole in the lid. It's a bit like organic apple cider vinegar with "mother." I don't know what that means, but it's just weird.
