These bulbs are intense! They fit in the housing perfectly just like the original glass bulbs. The light output is insane! My SUV has factory tint and I live on a dim street. The previous Sylvania Silverstar bulbs did little to nothing to improve the usable light output. These are like having fog lights in the rear, they easily put out 300% of the usable light. My back up camera has a clear usable image and I can even break neck and see clearly with the naked eye. I cannot comment to the lifespan as I just installed them, but for the price and if you need safety, these will get it done!
