I first bought an expensive K&M tablet holder but I wasn't happy so I bought this one and am very happy with it. It holds my iPad in its slim body (my case even has a foldable lid that keeps my iPad secure). A thick body definitely doesn't fit as my thin body can barely (but surely) fit under the handles. One annoying thing is that it doesn't tighten to prevent it from twisting/turning. So when I press my iPad to turn the music page, it can move the iPad so I have to touch it lightly. I'll try to find a thin felt washer or some metal washers that might solve the problem so I can tighten this adjustment so the iPad doesn't spin when I touch it. I have a 9.7 inch iPad and the first picture shows how much extra space I have when both "arms" are fully extended. The second photo shows how my thin iPad barely fits under the handles. On the 3rd picture you can see that it holds my iPad well even when it's upside down and even when I shake it vigorously a few times. The iPad is held securely in the holder. Overall I am very happy with this purchase. UPDATE: A friend showed me how to fix an issue where he wanted to rotate when I touch the iPad to change sides. All it took was loosening the bottom screw, putting the iPad back in place, and then tightening the screw (don't know why I didn't figure it out myself lol).
