I bought this controller to use with a Windows computer. If you're going to do the same, remember that you'll also need a Windows Wireless Receiver. This controller works with both the wireless receiver and the XBox 360 itself. The controller does not differ much in design or function from the original white controller. It does feel a bit heavier, though, which might indicate that the exterior material might be a bit more durable than the original white controller. When I received it I checked all the buttons and they work fine. None of them were prone to hanging, all sent the correct command when pressed, and the remote itself never dropped the connection. The battery slot works well and can last for months depending on how often you use it. This version of Gold Chrome looks great. The surface is reflective, which gives the remote control a unique gaming experience. Overall I would recommend this controller to all gamers or anyone looking for a nice looking XBox 360 remote.
