When I got to work I got tired of taking cold coffee with me, so I decided to give it a try. I had a hard time understanding the non-intuitive instructions for pressing the dial, waiting, etc. Like setting up those vintage Casio watches from the 1980s. I watched a video online - set the temperature to 155° and waited a few minutes. The display is a little hard to read and I can't really see the flashing icons at the top of the screen. I don't see a "1" on the left margin. However, my coffee was probably around 110 when I finally got to work - I set the temp to 155 and did a few emails - when I got back to the cup my coffee was hot! I actually saved the temperature at 150° so I could drink it. I drink black coffee so I don't have to worry about the cream going bad, but this worked great. The temperature was maintained for several hours, so I always drank hot coffee. For me an absolute winner. Warning - the container only holds medium-sized coffees, so it's not something you'd fill up once and drink continuously for hours. I wonder how it will do with soup? Good buy - glad I tried it.
