I bought this bread bin to hold a variety of breads on the countertop. I love that it has two shelves to save space and there is space on top of the box to place an oiler. I like that it has a window so I can see what's inside at a glance and from a distance. I wish the box was a bit deeper so I could fit wider (i.e. round) loaves of bread, but that's standard compared to most bread boxes. As already mentioned, the magnet is very strong, so two hands are required to open the box. If you're a busy mom and only have one hand free, that's not normal. My husband just put a few layers of tape on the magnet to get it loose and everything is fine now. At the time of purchase the fully assembled version was actually cheaper than the unassembled version so it was ready to install on my countertop and was in perfect condition. I love it.
