I bought this for my cat because she has a carrot toy that she loves and I thought it would be fun to give her a much larger carrot shaped cat tree. First, it is very easy to assemble. It comes with a wrench, a screw and a metal ring. All you have to do is insert a screw into the hole in the chipboard base (which is carpeted on the side the kitten will stand on), then attach the ring and screw the carrot to the base. It took me less than five minutes to assemble, which really can't be beat. I think the pole is sisal? It looks like sisal. The carrots' "leaves" are crumpled and covered in soft tissue, and you can move them around and slap them, giving your cat something to play with while using the rack. It's pretty well made and looks adorable and it's so easy to put together. I'm honestly very happy with it and in love with the way it looks.
