Review on πŸŽ’ Vintage Leather Rucksack Backpacks by Polare by Stacey Haynes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Dad has a new bag

My grandparents owned an upholstery shop and I made belts, eyeglass holders and purses so I know a bit about good and bad leather goods. This is my fifth Polare item and I am impressed with the consistent quality of their leather and the craftsmanship of the stitching and metalwork. Some composite metals break the first time you drop your bag on the floor. And if you're not used to wearing leather, you know that it carries a certain weight. I used mine for about a month and then went back to my personal messenger bag. The straps are wide enough to comfortably carry a 7-10 pound load and are adjustable. Mesh back with fixed strap allows for document/card storage and retractable handle fits easily in carry-on luggage. (I've only tried it on the one I have; don't know if the grip width is standard.) Just know that when it's hot outside the skin pressed against the back and the paper in between can do that Penetrate paper (and here's the word some don't like) wet. Mmm wet. LOL The roomy zipped compartment has a zipped pocket, slightly lower than the large Kindle Fire. There are also two open pockets; Each one fits an apple or a tennis ball. There are also 3 grip loops. If you happen to drop a black pick into this chasm, you won't find it for days. I think this bag would be a good helper for college students or to complement another leather bag you may have. Both stylish and durable, it should last a long time if treated like any other genuine leather bag. My only issue with the backpack is that I couldn't put the pins in the holder because they got caught on objects when trying to remove them. I have a 15" Mac and a 17" Gateway (Delorean Truck and Mac) with matching cables and such. Getting what I need was like regular fishing; I couldn't get what I wanted right away and I was clinging to things I didn't need or need. In the end this is a great bag that I will use as hand luggage for trips, trips to cafes. , additional motorcycling capacity and trips to the few remaining bookshops. I'm also confident to say that based on what I've ordered from Polare (wallet, ID holder, shoulder bag, duffel bag) I wholeheartedly recommend their products.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Flamboyant
