Review on Conveniently Powerful: SpotBot Pet Handsfree Spot and Stain Cleaner 33N8A with Deep Reach Technology by Tommy Clement

Revainrating 2 out of 5

A good product; figured out why all stop working and flow from the base.

I had 2 dogs (Doushound and Australian Shepherd). Considering the mess they make and the mess my 1 year old makes this vacuum was great. It does an excellent job of removing stains, cleaning deep liquid stains, etc. I've even used it in my car to clean the floor/seats. And again he did an excellent job. However, there are some disadvantages. 1) It is difficult to clean liquid storage (mostly dirty). This leads to dirt/mold formation inside. I've tried leaving soapy water and bleach in it but it doesn't clean it that well. 2) The brush head is difficult to remove to clean the hair. The hairs collect inside and the only way to get them out is to rip them off, which then requires you to glue them back on. So I'm constantly struggling to break it off and then stick it back on. 3) Cheap inner tube. And this is a BIG issue that many people write about when giving bad reviews for this product. I figured out what was wrong and what was causing the internal leaks. Many people say "it just happened to stop working and liquid is leaking from the vents". I almost guarantee that the reason is that the hose on the "Bissell Trigger Valve" broke. This is cheap thin plastic that will most likely break off from the heat and agitation of a large brush. I emailed Bissell to see if I could ship the part to me as it's not my fault it's their fault because they tried to save a few cents and included a cheap, easily breakable hose . I've attached a picture of the broken part so you can fix it yourself. Most online retailers list it as part number 1200 203-6662. Conclusion: overall I like it. I don't think there is a better product that does a job like this. However, it has its own small issues that make IT difficult to clean up and one major issue that results in most people having to replace it. I hope this isn't done intentionally as "Planned Deprecation". EDIT 6/23/16: After talking to Bissell, they don't pay to fix the item. Warranty 1 year and I have 8 months. They said I could either pay $50 to fix it or buy a new one. I'll buy the part I want online for $14 and just go with it. I have no intention of buying a Bissell product again. This part was obviously "planned obsolete" just by looking at how many other people had the exact same issue, how cheap this part was, etc. Only purchase this item if you are a little mechanically savvy so you can figure out how to fix it when the part comes out.
