I bought these to replace the cap on a 40oz Hydro Flask. At first I didn't think these lids were screwed at all. But eventually I put more effort and of course it fits a wide mouth. When it is fully screwed in and there is some water in it I lifted the straw cover and tried and mostly got air. It turned out that there was an air leak in the straw cover. To check this, I took it out of the bottle, pulled the straw off the bottom of the cap, plugged the hole underneath with my finger and sucked through the straw from the top. Of course I sucked air. If the lid was good I wouldn't put anything through the straw. I pulled out the second cap and did the same test and it leaked too. The lids look good and everything. It's also good that they added some cleaning brushes. But if the lids don't close when you pull out the straw, the lids are useless. When you suck on a straw, you get mostly air, not the liquid you want. It's like cracking a straw at McDonald's. They just don't work. Many thanks to Revane for the uncomplicated return.
