As a product manager for Unigear, I had high hopes that the company's branding as a lifestyle brand would transfer to the production of high-quality sporting goods and outdoor equipment. This did not turn out to be the case, unfortunately. The equipment did not live up to my expectations in terms of its longevity and functionality, which resulted in my disappointment and frustration. The look and feel of the brand, as well as the messaging associated with it, were on spot; however, the actual items left a lot to be desired. As a consequence of this, I wouldn't advise other people to choose their equipment for their next outdoor excursion based simply on the reputation of the Unigear brand.
