I have many Bose products for home and professional DJ use. You have NEVER let me down in 22 years. I have a regular sounddock, a portable sounddock, and a Bose 10 sounddock. I also researched and listened to the Soundlink and Soundlink Mini before I bought them in the store. You first have to decide what features you want, portability, Bluetooth and/or volume. For the home or office, the electric sound dock is great. For portable devices with great sound (no Bluetooth), the portable Sounddock is great, but most prefer Soundlinks' Bluetooth capability. If you want Bluetooth with powerful sound, the Bose 10 is a very loud and powerful electric player. which now comes with a bluetooth adapter. and works great. This is a bigger and heavier device, but it gets stuck. Bluetooth for simplicity and portability, which brings us to the Soundlink series. I found the Soundlink Mini sounded better in store than the larger Soundlink player. The Mini had the best treble and was really powerful for a small device. You can also buy a nice carrying case for it. The larger Soundlink sounded good, but a little dull. I chose the larger Soundlink because I'm a DJ and like to take it to family gatherings and play background music, so I wanted it to sound over a larger area. Equalizer so I can boost the highs. I use Algoriddim's DJAY 2 app. I would advise you to decide what features you need, then go to Best Buy and listen to the different Bose docking stations available before you buy. There's one for every need, just choose carefully to keep you satisfied for years to come. I love bluetooth, it always works up to 30 feet with no issues.
