I agree with other reviewers that the croc changed the fit of the shoe. I've worn Crocs for many years. I wear them with and without socks, depending on the weather. I get a new pair when I have a hole in the ball of an old pair. I wear them every day for a walk (I hate tennis shoes). I got them and the weather was warm and I wore them without socks and the rim at the top of my arch blistered on both feet because the croc made the whole shoebox smaller and lower in the arch area. This has NEVER happened. The rear strap is also shorter, which pushes the foot deeper into the shoe. I don't use a strap, but I tested it by reading other people's reviews and it's definitely shorter than the strap on my old sneakers. Boo hisses at crocodiles and now scores on a good product. I wonder if the outsole is wearing out faster now. For fit, I wear size 8 women's shoes and always buy size 7 men's/9 women's crocs. I don't know if going up size helps with the issues as they changed the fit or if it's just clown shoes slapping the foot (you have to admit they feel great but they have a clown shoe quality to them ). ). :)
