I bought similar systems from online hardware stores and paid to keep the cables clean. The advantage of these hardware store systems lies in the length of the products. This is a much cleaner setup for longer wires to have longer pieces. Fewer connections simply look better. This is definitely the case with a 30 foot HDMI cable around an outside wall to place a video game system at my end of the table. However, they worked great for some of the shorter pieces of wire I needed to run. Installation was easy and the tape that came with it was a lot stickier than what was sold at the hardware store. I'm not sure if this will be an issue if they need to be removed, but for now it's not an issue. Creates a beautiful visual effect when these are installed. Nothing superfluous. It also keeps my kitty from eating every wire in sight. Neatly and securely tucked away cords for lights, extension cords, video game systems, TVs, etc. made it a lot easier to keep my little guy from messing things up. It's also much safer for him, no chance of getting electrocuted! I would recommend to any pet owner
