I bought these for our poodle who had surgery on his back a year ago for a ventricular septum on his back and as a result her hind legs are not very strong so she tends to slip on our floors. Our house has tile and laminate floors and after the surgery we had to put treadmills everywhere so she wouldn't slip and get injured when she started walking again. Unfortunately, she has developed urinary incontinence due to a back injury, so carpeting is not the most hygienic choice. I tried these socks on her hind legs and not only does she not slip anymore, she walks more confidently and her stride even seems more stable. Also, I was able to remove most of the skids, which saved me a lot of time and money on constant cleaning and/or replacement.
