Great quality and good performance

I unpacked this kit last night and then did a 90 minute setup and video. They did very well on their first flight considering their price. The lights themselves emitted a lot of light, much like a spotlight. They are definitely not designed to spread light around a room, but they will supernova-illuminate a relatively small area. Softboxes are a little awkward to attach and tend to slip, but they do the job. The surface of the light and the softboxes is quite small, so the light doesn't get too soft or anything like that. I used one of these as the main light, I didn't find the CRI of these lights off-putting, but even my lay eyes could tell a slight difference in skin tone when looking at the footage. Combined with my camera's color chart and white balance setting, I think the end result looks good given the low cost of lighting. Stands meet your expectations. They are alright. They're easy to set up, but they won't blow you away or anything. The batteries worked great. They charged in about an hour and showed no signs of wear at the end of my 90 minutes of shooting (at about 50% on the backlit dials.) There was a significant amount of packaging waste in the process of unboxing and assembling the box. I don't know why there was any of the Softboxes have separate zipped pockets, and personally I don't need a duffel bag, everything was individually wrapped in plastic so with all that said, that leaves a fairly large pile of junk and a translucent screen to soften the light a bit. The cordless flexibility is really a plus for these lights and very handy in my situation. I look forward to using them in my home studio, they are great for a small space like mine.
