Inverters are hit or miss. I had one that worked fine but the fan was junk and made a whining noise that could be felt in your bones. This is very well built and very quiet. So quiet it's easy to forget it's plugged in. Take care of your battery. The only thing I don't like are the USB ports (there are 2 of them, in addition to 2 120V sockets) which remain live even when the switch is off. . If they and the fan were turned on via a power button, you could just leave the device plugged in all the time. I work a lot as a field service technician in the car and this thing boots my laptop, charges my phone and off we go. small printer at the same time. As long as your devices are under 300W, it's a beast. Make sure your 12V outlet can handle a 300W device as selecting the maximum current will blow the low current fuse.
