I used to use modified Maxxima 2700K 4" square rubbers. One of the few manufacturers to produce 4 inch square retros with a color temperature of 2700K. They were cheap at $13 each. However, 10-15% were obsolete and probably another 10-15% burned out in the first year. Maxima has ceased production. so I was forced to switch. After searching the internet for almost every lighting supplier to find 4 inch square rods in 2700K (3000K light) I stumbled across them and haven't had any problems since. They are amazing! I've used about 100 of these so far; none came defective. I'm writing this review because I'm ordering more from Revain (instead of burned Maxxima). The color customization feature is great too! This allows me to have one finish and use the same light in my traditional/transitional homes where I use 2700K; and use the same finish in my modern homes where I use the 3000K. They also work with Lutron LED dimmers (I use Divas and Casetas) - traditional LED dimmers (formerly CL). You don't need to buy an ELV dimmer. It's a keeper!
