Air Essentials Air Fresheners and Odor Control Gel Balls really work. You'll smell fresh and lemony for about 20 minutes in a much smaller area than 400 square feet. My cat, like any small animal, brings me presents when she's alive and then loses them around the house. I heard one of his pets in my bedroom late at night the other day and now I can smell him. Apparently he died of starvation. Anyway, the smell is awful so I figured these beads might take it away. The smell is strongest when I walk through my bedroom door, so I put the jar of beads on the dresser that's right where you come in the door. When I first refresh them by shaking them, they really help get rid of the smell. I shook them a few times now I think they dissolved into the liquid as they no longer make a rattling sound just a whistling sound. One of the beads popped out at the top once and became very soft and mushy. I now have a jar of soft/melted gel beads that smell like lemons. As long as I shake it fairly often, the smell neutralizes, but if I don't go into the bedroom often enough I can still smell the deceased gift my cat brought me. I don't recommend these beads as they don't help me much. If they were in a very small space like a closet or a small bathroom, they would likely work. There aren't any in my bedroom. Depending on the size of your room, I leave it up to you.
