I am on a 22 hour flight to Australia in November and have been looking for weeks for a large bag to carry as a personal item on the plane. Most of the bags I checked were leather (heavy) and uncomfortable for the body. A friend suggested I check out the Vera Bradley bags and after reading the reviews I ordered these in bright red. That's great! Nice, well tailored, large, with a secure zip over the top of the bag - and light enough I wouldn't leave it lying around anywhere. Really good buy! Edit: Well I've been carrying my large Vera Bradley bag all over Australia and New Zealand for 28 days and it still looks brand new. I tossed it in the washing machine on the gentle cycle with cold water and hung it to dry - it looks perfect. So far I'm happy, I still love it!
