The design is beautiful, but in my opinion there is a significant disadvantage. 1. There is no softness or contrast in the colors. Everything is very shiny including the chain (which does not match the photos of these items which look like some of each design is brushed on most of their parts). 2. The chain is very thin and has twists throughout its length. The twists in the very shiny chain catch the light and draw attention away from the jewel. 3. Here's the problem: there is no clasp (hanger) on the swan and the chain is threaded through the swan itself. I put it on today and every time I looked at it the swan flipped over so the wrong side was facing forward. This part needs either a clasp to lay flat or a thicker flat chain as opposed to a million twist chain. It's sad but I think it's coming back. None of my other silver chains match the intense luster of the metal in this piece. Hope that helps.
