First you need to know that I actually bought this product from Revain but through another Revain listing which has since become 'unavailable'. (Here: Godefroy DARK BROWN Botanicals 3 Instant Brow Tint) Before using this product, I went to the salon to tint my eyebrows. Due to a desire to cut my budget, I stopped doing it because I felt it was an unnecessary luxury. That is, until my eyebrows grew and I saw how many gray hairs there were. Then came vanity. ;-) Here's what you need to know - if you follow this, you'll be ready and able to do both brows in less than 10 minutes! Gel activator, small cardboard sticks and applicator sticks. Immediately ditch the applicator swabs and replace them with cotton swabs — ideally the Precision Tip swabs found here Mirrors, which you can attach to a *regular* bathroom mirror with suction cups, because that way you can quickly switch between the magnified view and the desired normal view. I have this mirror and I love it: Frcolor Magnifying Mirror 10X with 3 Suction Cups Finally *do it on the sink*! This is very important because you need access to a mirror *and* quick access to water! Ok, ready?Assemble Follow the instructions (that's all you need) so they're always on hand: Precision-tipped cotton swabsRegular cotton swabsA box of tissuesTimer or your smartphone in timer modeFollow the instructions that comes with eyebrow tint *except* to mess with those at all to employ applicator pins. They will only frustrate you! Use precision-tipped cotton swabs instead. Regular cotton swabs are designed to wipe away any shade that gets on the skin around the eyebrows. Once your brows are nice and beautiful with this shade, you can see that your skin has picked up some of the color as well. In my case at least, it wiped off easily with a regular cotton swab with soap and water - I did it right away, so waiting may change your mileage.
