We have twins and recently bought them two different sets of teeth - this was one of them. They both love her - for different reasons. We have both this Munchkin ring and the Nuby Bug A Loop teether, colors may vary. They love the soft texture and flexibility of the Nuby ring. This ring is different from others - all the links or sections are rigid, although some of them have a soft coating on the outside. As a teething toy, different textures in different places are great to give baby some variety. They sometimes like to chew on softer areas that have a differently shaped texture. Sometimes they like to chew on hard plastic sections. It must be like choosing between Mounds and Almond Joy for them - sometimes it feels crazy, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes a child wants to chew something hard, sometimes not. Some hard plastic parts have small parts inside that work like a rattle. Don't worry, nothing broke, that's how it works. As a parent, I appreciate that the rattle isn't too loud at all. I believe that children not only like it as a toy, but also because it is for teething. They enjoy playing with its different configurations, changing shapes, etc. while manipulating the sections. It has provided hours of entertainment and is almost always one of those items we toss in their car seats or diaper bags when we step outside. Five stars for trust!
