The edges of the top three containers are cracked, chipped and broken as is common with rough handling of thin plastic. The container(s) is/are nested within one another, also referred to as the "shell" of the container(s). The lid or lids were inserted into the other lid or lids in the same way. It's like dropping the containers onto the ground, floor, or other hard surface with enough force to crack the top three 'Only'. This can and does seem to happen with thin, brittle plastic. I'm not sure where the damage happened, but I ended up running out of the "3" containers I paid for. If they put the (1) lid on top of the top container instead of nesting them "ALL" together separately, maybe that would protect the container's fragile edge on top of the nested case by adding rigidity? hit it ;-P
