It's a little shocking to have an ironing board pad that costs almost twenty dollars, but once you pick up this pad and feel it you can tell the difference between a typical felt pad and with that thick and resilient pad. Brabantia is a Dutch company well known in Europe, but you will hardly find any Brabantia products in the US. This thick and flexible pad is made from viscose (a fabric related to viscose) and is thick enough to make a very good layer under an ironing board cover, yet breathable enough to work well when steam ironing. You simply cut the lining to your size with a pair of sturdy scissors and then pull the cover over it. I wouldn't give it five stars because of the price, but once I've received it and used it with the Brabantia ironing board cover I can easily give it five stars.
