I bought these for my 2009 Yamaha vstar 1100. You will need brackets sold separately to keep them off the wheels. A year later they are perfectly preserved. You can hold your purse on one side and a few other items on the other. These bags don't require large purchases, but are great for a few items on a long fall trip. I take my bike to work. It doesn't fit in a large laptop. I had to get a backpack for that. It can hold your lunch, a tightly folded change of clothes and maybe a pair of shoes. As a teacher I can recommend as I stuff them full of papers and books.
