Don't use templates!
The frames themselves are pretty decent. Simple, glass, strong enough. My only real complaint is the outboard hardware on the frames themselves. The hardware is not aligned. So if you try and use the templates and use them, drive nails or worse, the drywall anchors and screws that come with the kit into the wall. When you hang your pictures, they will be horribly crooked. Seems pretty bad. I'm really glad I started with heavy duty nails instead of drywall anchors because honestly I'd be really pissed off using anchors now.
