A week before my foot surgery I was looking for something to help me keep my foot up. The doctor's postoperative instruction was to keep the leg at heart level for the first week. It didn't dangle my leg over the end. When you first receive the device, it takes about an hour to unpack and see it in full size. It's a soft but supportive memory foam. It was perfect for the trip home after surgery. I used it 24/7 on the couch and in bed for the first week. Five weeks after the surgery, I'm still using it for several hours a day to reduce swelling in my leg. I do not regret purchasing this item.
