Lasted 7 months, best in laptop accessories

I bought this charger as an extra "upstairs" charger so it wasn't used once every day. The laptop charged quickly, but one day I heard a pop when I plugged in the computer. I was afraid the computer would burn out, but the computer was fine. The charger has burned out. No more than I've used this charger does it seem like it should last more than seven months. I think next time I'll look for something else for an extra charger.
