Review on SOTO Amicus Stove Igniter River by Prince Ruffins

Should I buy this oven?

Is this oven worth buying? Well, it depends on what you want to do with it. Whether you're an ultralight backpacker or just need a piping hot stove, this stove is for you. It's $25 cheaper than the MSR Pocket Rocket 2 and works just as well, if not better. SOTO has four support arms instead of three and is just as easy to use as the PR2. The only caveat is that SOTO is slightly louder than SOTO. The noise doesn't bother me at all. If you're traveling long distances and intend to be away for a week or more, or if you're going to be outdoors in cold and windy weather, an oil-fired stove like the MSR Whisper Lite might be your best bet (although it is). not the best choice). good vaper). You must regulate the flame with tank pressure, not with an adjustable valve. SOTO Amicus and MSR PR2 use an adjustable valve. An 8 ounce butane/propane can lasts about 3 hours, a 4 ounce can lasts an hour and a half, meaning you'll need to pack a few pressurized cans if you're going on a long trip. If you decide to buy this stove, be aware that an 8-ounce canister will fit in a river pot, but you'll need to store it upside down, turn the lid upside down, and place the stove (in a very nice bag) inside Cover and tighten everything together with the grille. On the other hand, a 4-ounce canister lets you put everything in the pot for better protection of the stove itself. I don't want to judge SOTO on the fit, but on the excellent quality of this product. The MSR PR2 kit offers better styling but isn't worth the $25 difference in price in my opinion. After much deliberation, I finally decided to do it and I am very happy about it! Out of the box it worked great!
