We use them in my wife's office/studio around her desk. Adds beautiful ambient lighting to a room, including as a night light when everything else is off. We have other strip lights very similar to this one but I can tell you the remote control on this unit is a lot easier to use than the others! I have about 100 buttons and zero instructions. No idea how to use it. This? Much more direct. You can easily get the color/brightness you want, adjust the fading and control the speed. Or sync to music, which works well enough. The adhesive on the back is excellent, you can remove it and rearrange it several times without damaging the material. It has been working without problems for several months, so there are no complaints. If we need more, we won't hesitate to buy another set, especially for <20$!
