I avoided buying colored reversible belts because they usually looked cheap and wanted something casual and nicer to look at. You could put the belt on as usual, but after it wraps around your waist and you decide to use the second drawstring, the remaining belt cannot go back under the belt guide. It's just a minimalist shorts design. Regular pants and shorts worked as usual. This is because the strap head is slightly thicker and the body is thinner, and the design of the new short dockers was minimal and more precise for compression on the body. I could still use the belt as usual, just didn't tie the head of the belt under the splint a second time. Because the body of the belt is made of flexible fabric rather than sturdy leather, it lies flat against the body, shirt in or out, knotted or untied at the end.
