Review on DBTech Handheld Multi-Purpose Electric Steam Cleaner: Effortlessly Clean with Power and Precision by Christopher Gulledge

Works great for some things!

I got it today and have been running around the house testing it on everything. First, it is suitable for cleaning countertops, walls, mirrors and other items that are easier to wipe. My cooker looks great even if it's not cleaned. You steam and then wipe clean. Glossy paint is (obviously) easier to clean, but flat paint cleans better than I expected. I couldn't clean mine without scrubbing and removing a layer of drywall. I plan on repainting but first I wanted to wash the walls a bit. This will do a good job. However, it took several passes with a steam cleaner to remove it. I can't fault the steam cleaner, this paint cleans terribly. I tried it out on a very dirty "white" microfiber-like fabric that I was fool enough to knock over our kids room rocking chair. I have two boys so it's gross. Everything was in order. Not perfect. I may have to try one of the cleaning brush ends. Complaints: The cord is long, but it really needs to be longer to do a lot of cleaning. The cord doesn't reach my shower so I can steam the inside of the shower doors. I think this will clean the doors just fine, but I need an extension cord. Three prong plug to buy an extension cord. They give you a washable microfiber pad. Brilliant. I like that it's reusable. But it would be nice to get a second one. Maybe I'll give it a try. I'll probably do something to store/carry parts as well. I really don't want to keep the box. There are many good parts, but I don't want to lose them. Overall I'm very happy with it. He is very small. He's really good at a lot of things. A few safety tips - read the instructions. They are hot and blow hot steam. I'm stupid and at some point put my hand forward. Not burned, but uncomfortable. When you go to charge, you need to turn it off first. You unscrew the lid a couple of turns and let the steam come out until it stops. Then you can finish unscrewing and refuel. It will burn you if you're not careful. Oh, and you can't use it to clean windows if it's 40*F or lower - potential for window hacking.
