I received my oiler yesterday, it was well packaged, there were no chips or breaks anywhere. I ordered red and it's medium red like a Santa suit; not burgundy. Matches the color. I was able to put one (1) strip of butter in the lid (equivalent to 1/2 cup or about 113 grams). Pretty cool where the oil goes. There is a lid that has an inverted cup connected as a single piece. Just think of it as a teacup taped to a saucer that you twist upside down into a pot with a handle to pull out. I'm older and my grip has let me down a bit over the years; but it is very easy for me to deal with it. Now the next day has come and the oil is still in the cup where it should be and even though it's winter the water seems cool. So far I can highly recommend this product. Looks expensive, weight is.
