I recently bought a pair of Uvex Skyper glasses to try out the blue blocking concept. Uvex glasses do not fit well, they are uncomfortable to wear because they rub against the forehead and cheeks. They're so uncomfortable I don't want to wear them, and they look pretty weird outside of the lab. These Spectra glasses are like regular good sunglasses that really fit a person's head. They are lightweight, comfortable and fit my head and face like most sunglasses I own. Because they're shaped like regular sunglasses, they don't have a wide, one-piece lens like the Uvex, but I'm fine with that. The one-piece Uvex lenses had annoying edge distortion, and the large single lens rubbed my cheeks. These Spectra479 goggles have a small gap around the bottom and side of the goggles for light to pass through, but I'm fine with that as they don't rub my face and fit a lot better than the Uvex. I like wearing them. After all, they look like regular sunglasses except for the orange lenses and I don't mind wearing them at home or outside.
