Requires 2 hands to use - Typical design and cords are only 4 feet long; The item is not rechargeable.

I didn't know this mirror wasn't rechargeable - only some of the photos show the cord when the power is on. It needs to be plugged in at all times and the cord is about 4 feet long. In addition, the base of the mirror is not large enough to prevent the mirror from tipping over. I wouldn't let the kids use it. You cannot change the position of the mirror without holding the base with your other hand and tilting the mirror with your other hand, and people with disabilities will not be able to do this easily. The thing looks really cool - I think the base plate should be at least twice as wide. The detachable magnifying mirror measures 3.5 inches and uses detachable suction cups to attach to the mirror. It doesn't stick to the backing so it's inconvenient as sticking to the mirror will make the part of the mirror unusable. Detachable mirror looks cheap and useless. The metal frame that holds the mirror looks nice, although the mirror's cardboard backing feels cheap. My guess is that if you place it next to an outlet and don't move it much, it'll probably work great. If you want something to move from one room to another I would choose something else. I haven't decided yet if I'll keep it. The 4 foot cable is the main issue for me.
