Bought this chair to replace my rapidly aging office chair. I'm a tall guy (6ft 2in, 270) so I shopped in the large and high aisle. With so many options and prices, it was hard to decide which chair to buy, but I chose this one because of the Serta name. and many good reviews. The photo looks exactly how I wanted the chair. Arrived yesterday after a few missteps by UPS. It's a heavy beast packed in a surprisingly compact box. Installation took 45 minutes to an hour. Overall it was easy but there is a part where you have to put the seat on top of the backrest and fasten them together. It was difficult because the connection between them was very close. I had to push and push the seat until I could get the seat screws in. It's probably best if it's a two-person job for stuff like this. But generally not very distressing. I replaced the wheels that came with it with some roller wheels and I highly recommend this. The wheels that come with the kit feel a little cheap and plasticky, while the casters on wheels really make the chair glide. Once assembled the chair looks beautiful - very similar to the photos - and feels heavy and solid. The disappointment for me was in the comfort. The seat is quite wide, but short. I would have liked at least 2-3 inches more depth to allow the seat to reach further under my feet. And the chair cushions are very hard - not comfortable at all compared to what my old chair used to be. Some might prefer a firm cushion, and if so, you'll love the feel of this chair. But I like sinking into a soft, leather-like seat that feels almost like a pillow. That's not the chair. So after a day of testing, I'll put the cushion back on the seat of my old chair, pull it up to my desk, give my daughter the Serta chair for her office, and keep shopping until I find a really comfortable chair.
