It was very easy to put together - just screw the top to the base, less than two minutes - to be honest. The cat and her three kittens love it. They love sleeping on the top bunk. Kittens play with a stick wrapped in string. The feather with the mouse is simply pushed into the hole in the foot of the scratching post. All cats LOVE this mouse. I can't keep that thing in a scratching post, they keep pulling it out and running around the house with it. These cats run around the house with a mouse attached to a long feather in their mouths. It's pretty fun to watch. The cats love this scratching post so much and have so much fun playing with it that I wish I had ordered more.
