I bought this pillow to help my back on long car rides. The specs say it's about 1 inch thick. Some Q&A and reviews state it's about 1 inch thick. Apparently the information is out of date. Upon receipt and confirmation from the seller, this pillow is 2 inches thick, causing me to sit too high in the car seat and my head banging against the headliner. (The seller stated that their supplier changed the padding to a thicker one.) I wanted a good 1" thick padding for this very reason - I already had a pair of 2" pads that I bought at Costco (cheaper , but better than this). ) . I think Sojoy/Revain should have updated the specs. On the plus side, this cushion matches my office chair upholstery. I only keep it because I hate returning things to Revain. Walmart is easier because I can return items to their stores. I rated this pillow low because it doesn't even come close to meeting the listed specifications. Someone else might consider it for their car if they are very small or need a chair pad.
