Simple, durable and affordable, this set of two metal Fletcher dining chairs from Simpli Home will add a little industrial French style to your dining area. They come in a big box. , fully assembled. They stack and fold into a box. There are ample protective pads of styrofoam and cardboard so none of the chairs had a scratch, dent or other damage. Kudos to Simpli Home for the packaging to ensure the chairs arrive in perfect condition. These chairs are a classic Tolix style chair from 1956. Although quite light, they are made of steel so are very durable. Xavier Pochard, a French designer of chairs in this style, often sold Tolix bistro chairs for their durability, stackability and material that withstands indoor and outdoor use. Powder coated in gloss black, this set will look great with a variety of decors. I already had 8 chairs in this style in silver so I added these two to either side of the table where I used to use a pair of wooden chairs. They look great and while they're not padded anywhere, they're surprisingly comfortable. Of course, they're not as comfortable as upholstered dining chairs, but you can easily add a separate stretch cushion if you'd like. I chose this chair because it's easy to clean and good for kids. My family of 5 (and their friends) have already broken a few wooden chairs when I switched to this style and I'm very pleased with how sturdy and attractive they are. Chairs and the ones I already had, apart from the color of the paint. Both have thick rubber feet to prevent damage to the floor. Both have 7 vents in the seat (for drainage if you use them outdoors). Both have metal cross braces under the seat. Both weigh the same. I bought the silver set about 6 years ago and am pretty sure all of these chairs will outlive me and my family. Children who keep leaning back in their dining room chair are a good choice.
