Review on πŸ“¦ Flip-Tite 10 Cup Square Container with Easy-Open Lid by Better Homes and Gardens by Ibraheem Burna

Revainrating 5 out of 5

WORTH THE PRICE

My original Flip Tite (not Revain) was purchased as part of a set about 4 years ago and this particular block was for a sugar container. Well, my worst nightmare happened to me one afternoon when I was reaching for that canister in the closet with wet hands and, you guessed it, it slipped out of my hand and fell 7 feet to the ground. (Okay, now you can stop flinching.) The bottom edge of the device hit the floor and broke, but it did NOT shatter. The sugar didn't come out. I found this Revain replacement in less time than it would have taken me to shop at multiple stores. The canister is big enough to hold a 15-pound bag of sugar and the lid provides a good seal when the lever on the lid is flipped, but it's not necessarily airtight. The brown sugar I have in another container has gotten a little lumpy, but this has only been in the container for over a year. Flour, rice, breadcrumbs, etc. that I store in these containers hold up well without sticking or hardening. I clean the body of the canister in warm soapy water and then dry it with my hands. As for the lid, I've seen that submerging it in water allows water to get past the seal and into the joint. So I just use a damp cloth to clean the top. Overall: As I often say, you get what you pay for. It is worth the price and I recommend it as a BUY.
