So, for the first week and a half of use, the fan worked as advertised, it was quiet (not very quiet on higher settings) so I put it on low settings at night. Then after 2 weeks I started hearing a grinding noise every 2-4 seconds and the fan was much weaker than originally. I didn't use the fan every day and when not in use it was unplugged. My 30 day warranty has expired which stinks because I didn't use the fan right away, I didn't realize there was only a 30 day warranty on returns. What is my fault. However. I contacted Amazon support and they helped me as best they could but as the 30 day guarantee had expired they were unable to process the return/exchange and told me to contact Lasko themselves what I will do now. I just want to say that at first I liked the fan until the noise started grinding and now the fan is not as powerful as before, for me it was a waste of money and I will not buy this product again. I would also like to add that the Lasko brand is a good brand. I have a huge fan of theirs that has been working for years and is still working. That's why I bought their little fan instead of other brands. So I would not recommend the Lasko 4000 Air Stik ultra-thin oscillating fan.
