I love my shelf, I have used it in the kitchen for extra storage. The shelf is strong and durable, but the SHELVES themselves are made of foldable plastic material. So far I've had no trouble storing my empty pot, toaster, blender, kugel and a few containers full of bits and bobs. Just think about what you will use it for.
