Working but not as declared

First I will start with the negatives as there are not many of them. In my experience, it does NOT support 4K HDR. I have a Samsung NU6900 4K HDR and was trying to run 4K with an Xbox One S. Nothing was displayed. I would have to switch my Xbox to 1080p to see anything. But even at 1080p when I try to run a newer game it turns the display off again. As a result, I can only use my Xbox as a DVD player when connected to this device. I tried plugging it directly into the TV's HDMI port and it worked fine, so I can confirm that it's an HDMI switch. Also, I've tried this with AND without the extra power, no luck anyway. The next downside is that the Xbox-only display randomly flickers to a black screen. Somewhere every 2-5 minutes. Nothing bad, but it definitely shouldn't happen. Otherwise there are many pluses. Without the extra power, I can easily run (non-4K) Fire Stick, Nintendo Switch, and Blu-Ray players. Auto-switching is a great feature, and it's very persistent. My son might be on his Nintendo Switch, turn it off and when I turn on the Blu-ray player it automatically switches to that input. Wonderful! Also, I've had it for a year now and still no problems. I can't test pure 4K as my TV supports 4K HDR, but I highly recommend this switch. 4K owners, proceed with a warning!
