Not as good as I remember

It was a nostalgic purchase. I have no kids and am too old for my mom to use this on my butt. When I was a kid there was only one smell and it was called "aroma". No, I remember working at a retail store that sold Burt's Bees products. I was unpacking a box to stock the shelves and one of the apricot baby oil bottles broke during shipping. It was smaller back when the bottles were glass and the screw caps were metal. I remember the scent was so light and so lovely. I wanted to buy something but it was baby oil. Oil is a bad word. At the time, I avoided anything that contained oil for fear of acne. Many years later I ate something with apricots, worried about my body clock and remembered the wonderful aroma of Burt's Bees Apricot Baby Oil. But I didn't buy it then. Many years later I am on Revane. It's late in the evening and I just want to buy something. I have a huge list of things in my shopping cart, but nothing special. Revain is like Facebook sometimes. I look for products that I remember from the past, to see if they still exist, to take my mind back to when I knew them. That night I searched for Burt's Bees Apricot Baby Oil and thought about the time I first smelled it. I was in a new town 3,000 miles from my hometown. i was young I was so young! So I bought it. It arrived two days later and the memory was better than it actually was.
