Overall I like the idea of cables. Somehow, in theory, there are no more curved chargers. I say be careful as my phone started having problems shortly after using the cables. I have LG Stylo 6. Worked fine. Used cables and stopped charging. General. Sent the phone back and was replaced with a new phone - same phone. The cell phone store told me this isn't the problem they see and it must have just been a weird one off issue. A month later, my (second) new phone behaves like I'm constantly plugging in the charger. Beep.beep.beep on screen dimming etc. Constantly. EXTERNAL is annoying and the phone has to be physically connected not to do this. Conscience? May be. The phone store said it must be the charger as that's not a common problem with this type of phone - as much as I love the idea I won't be using cords anymore.
