I have a slightly larger (2 1/8 inch) dehumidifier nozzle but I really wanted to find a diffuser that would fit. Holes in the tines accelerate drying and also ensure a pleasant massaging effect on the scalp. This is exactly what I wanted for curls. Since the inner ring of the diffuser head is hard plastic it didn't fit my dryer at first, but I cut that inner ring a bit to allow it to open and now it fits perfectly! The outer rubber is thick and keeps it in place while the inner ring stretches across my dryer. So if you want to stretch it, just snip the inner plastic ring (but make sure you have really strong scissors).
