Used on a 2012 Altima. I read reviews and watched videos on YouTube, printed out instructions and "rehearsed" before getting down to business. I had to press the start button on the machine twice to get it to the on position for the first step. The car is new to me and I wasn't aware that 1-Press only puts it in ACC state. I went through the process for the first "blank" FOB that came with ODB kit APDTY 00260, part number B01DDRMBKI. After going through the steps posted, the original FOB and the new FOB worked fine. With no further instructions, I repeated the process for another blank FOB I had purchased. Item B015WPM7NU. After that, the second FOB and the original FOB worked fine, but the first reprogrammed FOB stopped working. I suspected that in order for them all to work, all 3 had to be involved in the same process. I tried again and started with my original FOB, then in step 7 inserted a new FOB, then after step 8 went back to step 7 and inserted another new FOB and then finished the process. All 3 FOBs work great. Home Depot had a machine that recognized the original key and punched out two more blanks for me at no cost. Here are the steps that worked for me. Programming Nissan Prox 2009-20141. Insert the pre-programmed PROX remote control into the key slot to the left of the steering column. Push the start/stop button to the ON position.2. Plug the programmer into the OBD/DLC port located under the steering column next to the pedals. The programmer will beep twice.3. Wait 10 seconds. Push the start/stop button to the OFF position. GDP once.4. Wait 10 seconds. Push the start/stop button to the ON position. The programmer will beep twice.5. Wait 10 seconds. Push the start/stop button to the OFF position. The programmer will emit 3 beeps.6. Wait 10 seconds. Push the start/stop button to the ON position. The red car light above the mileage flashes 5 times.7. Remove the PROX remote and plug in the next one to program. Push the start/stop button to the ON position. The car's red light above the mileage flashes 5 times.8. Push the start/stop button to the OFF position. [*** IF A SECOND "EMPTY" FOB HAS BEEN PROGRAMMED, RETURN TO STEP 7 HERE***]9. Push the start/stop button to the ON.10 position. Press the start/stop button to OFF.11. Depress the brake pedal. Push the start/stop button to the ON position and start the car.12 Turn off the car and remove the programmer.13. Check the lock and unlock buttons on each programmed remote. If the programming fails, restart the instructions from the beginning.
